Kevin For Town Council

I remember as a kid, my parents would be driving down Eddie Dowling Highway, and I'd always be looking out on the passenger side mirror waiting for us to pass my Uncle Norman store so I could see Carriere's furniture kind of go right across it.

And then I remember traveling through Woonsocket through Avenue C to see my grandfather Leo‘s Carriere Upholstery. And I'd be so excited to kind of run through the shop and probably play with things that these days they would say is far too dangerous for a kid to be playing.

My family worked hard to build something here. Quality work. Honest work.

But, sadly, times have changed. Their stores are closed, the signs are gone, and it feels like sometimes that everything is coming apart at its seams.

But the things that made this town worth living in? Those haven't changed.

Pride in a job well done. Neighbors looking out for each other. Leaders who want to stay in this town and help this town because they love it, not because they're just passing through it.

My family gave everything they had to build a better life for me in this town.

The least I can do is give back with my voice.

I'm Kevin Carriere and I'm running for North Smithfield Town Council.
