“Well, it changes every day, you see.”

We’re off and running!

June 1, 2026

Today is the big day, June 1. The not-so-well-kept secret is out of the bag: I'm running for Town Council. I love my town; it's why I moved back. But I want town leaders who are willing to pass and enforce ordinances to preserve our future so that the mistakes of the past do not happen again. Indecision, inaction, and incivility have cost our town too much. I am running to change that. There are over 4,500 doors to knock on in North Smithfield -- so let's get to work.

Love, not hate.

A hate group with over 6.7 million followers mentioned our town’s library. I was concerned for the well-being of our librarians and our town, and had mentioned it on a local town Facebook page. I will always assist people in trying to find productive ways to connect and communicate with our government, and I shared both my thoughts and draft emails to send our local leaders.

Elected leaders should act like adults.

February 26, 2026

I had, like many of us, grown accustomed to our local leaders yelling and insulting citizens in private and public social media groups. Social media, as we know, brings out the worst in us. But once I saw a State Representative tell my neighbor they were descending into madness, I knew I couldn’t stand on the sidelines anymore. This is not normal behavior. This is not how we treat each other. This is not the kind of community I grew up in, and it’s not the behavior I want to see my children viewing as the people who we choose to represent us. This kind of behavior doesn’t represent me. It doesn’t represent the North Smithfield I know. And that’s what I wrote.

We can - we must - do better.
