Transparent Goal Tracking
My wife and I are both teachers. And as teachers, the one thing we think about when August rolls around is: is our syllabus ready? Have we laid out the plan for the year, knowing what we want to achieve with our classes? Do our students know what we hope to achieve, and is it clear to them how on track we are to achieve those goals as the school year goes on?
Our Town Council used to be transparent about its goals — for itself and for its committees. Goals give committees purpose and keep everyone working with intention. When I become your Town Councilor, I'll work to bring back goal tracking with monthly updates in a format every town resident can easily access.
