Welcome to our small town.

When we moved back to town, we didn't know what day our trash was picked up. We didn't know the local businesses that could repaint our walls, the contact for the school department, or who the Town Administrator was.

I talk a lot about this at doors. Small changes that can keep North Smithfield, North Smithfield. A place of community, supporting local businesses, clear information, and a welcome for new (and old!) faces. That's why I started off my campaign by sending out welcome packets to new property owners in town.

Of course, the official town version wouldn't include my campaign information, nor would it be a letter from me (but from the Town Administrator). And perhaps it doesn’t need to be printed - even a .zip folder on the Town Website that one could click and have this information organized for any interested individual would be helpful as a centralized place to quickly get all of the information from town.

They also have so much potential for growth. A true business directory. Coupons from local businesses. A true audit of where our information is and where it is not.

However we choose to reduce the barriers of learning about our town is fine with me. But let’s make it easier. For the next family. For your neighbor. For your children.

Here, we support each other.
