Holding companies accountable to our laws

I'm a big believer in believing in the best in people, that they're all doing their best and trying to make sure that things are fair and equal for everyone. Though, sometimes it's really tough to believe them.
Cut to Town Council Meeting on February 17, 2026
So we will need an understanding, to David's point, of a site map to say the fence is supposed to be in these areas and the fence is up in these, in said areas.
Cut To Town Council Meeting on March 2, 2026
Council: “We have a motion and a second. Any further discussion?“
Citizen: “Something was supposed to a map.”
Council: “Excuse me, excuse me.”
Citizen: “What happened to the map?
Council: “Excuse me.”
Citizen: “What was going on?”
Cut to Valley Breeze article title: “Police asked to investigate disappearance of tree in front of N.S. town councilor’s home.”
Above the clip, a quote from the article reads:
“Town Administrator Scott Gibbs confirmed that the Maple was in the public right-of-way and considered town property. Gibbs said he has spoken to O'Hara, and is following protocol to address the issue.
"I also contacted the police chief and requested the NSPD investigate and file a report," Gibbs said.
O'Hara did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”
~~~~~~~~
Council: I said, I'll pay for it, and I did pay for. They said they couldn't do it because they couldn't pay for, I did it. Put me in jail.
And so, at a recent town council, I went to ask, are we holding everyone to the same standard?
——-
I mean, so my final question slash comment would be thinking about the concerns around companies doing things that maybe are not in the best interest of the town, and Councilwoman O'Hara mentioned that a company came and chopped down public property. I was just wondering if the Councilwoman would be able to assist the local government in trying to understand which company cut down public property without a permit.
Councilman John Beauregard: He's really nothing but a big baby.
Council President: Alright.
Councilman John Beauregard: You really are just a big, baby.
Council President: John.
Councilman John Beauregard: You're a baby. Baby.
Council President: John.
It's incredible!
It's like he can read my mind!
