It was April Fools Day, and I wanted to make something cute and humorous. So, I patched together some Town Council videos to make a pretty good rendition of Sweet Caroline.

Now, some Town Councilors were disappointed to be featured. For me, I did my best to not show anyone in a “bad” light. Again, I think it’s a conversation around egos. Can we laugh at ourselves? Where can we find joy? Can we return to a town that feels more like a family reunion than tribal warfare?

Town Council is a thankless role - 100%. But we need to find spaces where we can find humor where there is only constant anger. Smile where there is distrust. Find something to unite the community with when everything feels so divided.

And what could be more uniting than singing along to Sweet Caroline?
